Dr Isaac Tabner is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Stirling, specializing in household finance research that enables individuals and households to achieve better quality of life through improved financial decision making. His work spans multiple research centers including Social Surveys and Social Statistics, Stirling Physical Activity Research, Knowledge & Learning Exchange (SPARKLE), and Behavioural Science.
Dr Tabner holds a PhD from the University of Stirling (2004), an MSc with distinction in investment analysis (1999), and a BSc (Hons) in marine and environmental biology from the University of Saint Andrews. He has professional designations including CFA (2003), ASIP (2002), and DipPFS (2010).
His research interests focus on household finance, personal financial planning, environmental economics and finance, corporate governance, and asset pricing. Dr Tabner's work explores how financial decisions relating to housing, transport, education, borrowing, and saving interact with financial and other aspects of wellbeing.
