Dr. Isaac Stephens is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Mississippi's Department of History, part of the College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on early modern British and European history, particularly religion, politics, and cultural dynamics during the Stuart period. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside (2008) and an M.A. from the same institution (2003).
His work explores topics such as London during the British Civil Wars, the interplay of parochial and state politics, and the complexities of early modern Protestantism.
