Isaac Ariail Reed is the Sorensen Professor of Political & Social Thought and Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia. He serves as Director of the Program in Political and Social Thought. His academic career includes prior roles at the University of Colorado Boulder. Reed holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Sociology & Anthropology from Swarthmore College (2000) and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Yale University (2007).
