Iryna Vushko is Assistant Professor of History at Princeton University, focusing on Eastern Europe and the Habsburg Empire. Her books include Lost Fatherland (2024), analyzing post-imperial transitions, and The Politics of Cultural Retreat (2015), examining Habsburg bureaucracy in Galicia.
Current projects investigate political imprisonment in Central Europe (1620-1945) and the intellectual migration of mathematicians from Lwów to America. She teaches courses on Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and the history of political incarceration.
