Irving Hart

Irving Hart served as a Professor and held various leadership roles within the Extension Service department at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). His career spanned from 1913 to 1958, including roles such as Supervisor of Extension (1913–1914), Assistant Director of Extension (1914–1916), and Director of Extension (1916–1948). During World War I, he took a leave of absence for YMCA Army work (1918–1919). Later, he transitioned to part-time roles as Archivist (1948–1957) and Archivist and Historian (1956–1958). His work focused on rural education, community development, and institutional history. Married twice: first to Ida Fay Pew Hart, then to Winnifred M. Tuttle Hart.
