Irmelin Gram-Hanssen

Irmelin Gram-Hanssen is a Senior Researcher at Western Norway Research Institute, specializing in climate adaptation and sustainability transitions. She joined the institute in September 2022 after earning her PhD in Human Geography from the University of Oslo. Her academic background includes a Master's in Northern Studies (University of Alaska Fairbanks) and a Bachelor's in International Development Studies (Roskilde University).

Her research examines:

• Climate adaptation policy in the Nordic region
• Land use justice for green transformations
• Integration of relational, feminist, and decolonial frameworks
