Irmelin Drake

Irmelin Drake is an Associate Professor at the Department of Leadership and Organization, Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. Her roles include teaching, research, and consulting on leadership topics such as self-leadership, women in leadership, and organizational change. She has held leadership positions, including Head of Master Programmes in Leadership and Innovation at HK and USN universities. Her work emphasizes sustainable, inclusive leadership across individual, group, and organizational levels.

Drake’s research focuses on leadership development, gender equity in academia and workplaces, and fostering inclusive environments. She actively collaborates with organizations to bridge theory and practice. Her recent projects explore super-leadership, autonomous organizational structures, and promoting female role models internationally. She was honored as the Best Lecturer by Master students in Leadership (2021).

Her academic background includes degrees such as Siv.øk (Civil Engineer), M.Sc., and Ph.D. She contributes to research groups and advocates for women’s perspectives globally, including initiatives in Zanzibar.
