Iris Wilson

Iris Wilson is a Lecturer in mental health nursing at Strathclyde University's School of Health and Life Sciences. She serves as Programme Lead for the pre-registration MSc Mental Health Nursing Programme and Admissions Officer. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education, her research focuses on factors influencing completion of accelerated nursing programs. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.

Education: Pursuing Doctor of Education (Strathclyde University).

Research Interests: Psychoeducation strategies for psychosis management, nursing program completion factors, and suicide prevention training (safeTalk, ASIST, Storm). She also trains professionals on issues related to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Professional Activities: Trainer for suicide intervention protocols and facilitator for Action Learning Sets. Supervises MSc nursing dissertation students.
