Ioana Radu is a Professor and Director of the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Indigenous Studies at the School of Indigenous Studies, Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). Her work focuses on Indigenous health, food sovereignty, territorial governance, and decolonial methodologies. She leads research initiatives in partnership with Indigenous communities in Quebec and beyond.
Her research emphasizes collaborative approaches, such as the Minowé Clinic at the Val-d’Or Native Friendship Centre, which integrates Indigenous wellness practices into urban health services.
