Ioan Negulescu

Dr. Ioan Negulescu is a retired Professor in the Department of Textiles, Apparel Design, and Merchandising at Louisiana State University's College of Agriculture.

His research focused on:

• Chemistry and characterization of natural/synthetic polymers
• Rheological properties of polymeric systems
• Medical polymers and textile biocomposites
• Bio-based materials for industrial applications
• Polymer-reinforced sustainable asphalt technologies

Dr. Negulescu contributed to significant research projects including USDA-funded initiatives on biobased industry science and engineering, reclaimed materials, and bio-paving products. He taught advanced courses in textile science, macromolecular systems, and product evaluation.
