Inês Fonseca Pinto

Inês Fonseca Pinto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at ISEG (University of Lisbon), affiliated with CSG Research. She holds a PhD in Management (2011) and a Master's in Finance from ISCTE. Her research focuses on financial reporting, banking sector analysis, and corporate finance, with publications in journals like Journal of International Accounting and Journal of Business Research. She has supervised over 50 Master’s theses, emphasizing topics like accounting standards, audit practices, and banking supervision. Inès previously worked as a credit analyst at Deutsche Bank and Barclays, and as a consultant at CB Richard Ellis. She chairs the editorial board of the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation since 2015, contributing to academic rigor in her field.

Her research explores the intersection of financial regulations, corporate governance, and auditing. Recent work examines the impact of IFRS standards on banking disclosures and audit committee roles. She has also analyzed the relationship between foreign direct investment and sustainable development goals in African economies. In teaching, she focuses on corporate finance and financial management, integrating practical industry insights.
