About
Inya Egbe is an Associate Professor in Accounting at the Department of Accounting, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. He joined the university in October 2017 after serving as a lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton. His academic journey includes a PhD and MSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham, a BSc in Accountancy from Madonna University, Nigeria, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Wolverhampton.
His research focuses on management control systems in emerging multinationals, with additional interests in sustainability accounting, accounting for race, equality, and diversity, and accounting and development issues. He is particularly interested in supervising postgraduate research in management accounting, performance measurement, and sustainability-related topics.
His recent publications explore the influence of multinational enterprises on subsidiaries and the failure of activity-based costing systems, reflecting his expertise in organizational control and accounting systems in complex environments.
