Insung Ko

Insung Ko is a Teaching Associate Professor in Korean Language, specializing in areas such as intercultural communicative competence and technology-aided language teaching. He has taught Korean at all proficiency levels, alongside courses in linguistics and second language learning. His research focuses on second language pedagogy, phonetics, pronunciation teaching, language testing, and the role of cultural awareness in language acquisition.

Research Interests: Dr. Ko explores theoretical Korean linguistics, second language teaching methodologies, and the integration of cultural awareness in language learning. He develops instructional materials and evaluates effective teaching strategies for pronunciation and historical aspects of the Korean language.

Teaching: He instructs courses including Beginning Korean I & II, Readings in Modern Korean I & II, and Introduction to the History of Korean Language.
