Dr. Inka Sauter is a Research Fellow at the Franz Rosenzweig Minerva Research Center and a Research Associate at the Martin Buber Professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Her work focuses on Jewish perspectives on historicism, secularization, and postcolonial theory, with a strong emphasis on critical theory and Jewish intellectual history.
Her research spans Jewish Studies, Philosophy, and History, often intersecting with Digital Humanities projects. She has been funded by the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk (ELES) since 2014.
Recent publications include her 2022 book Secularization and the Concept of History and articles analyzing Jewish responses to historical crises, such as Heinrich Graetz’s legacy and Isaac Breuer’s work.
In 2025, she delivered an inaugural public lecture at the Dubnow Institute, highlighting her ongoing contributions to academic discourse.
