Ingo Drescher

Ingo Drescher is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Tübingen, Germany. Since 2016, he holds an honorary professorship (Honorarprofessor) at the Faculty of Law. Concurrently, he has served as a Vorsitzender Richter (Presiding Judge) at the Bundesgerichtshof (Federal Court of Justice) in the Gesellschaftsrechtssenat (Corporate Law Senate) since 2017, and previously as a Richter (Judge) there from 2007 to 2017. His career includes roles as a Direktor des Amtsgerichts (Director of the District Court) in Tübingen (2005–2007), Richter at the Oberlandesgericht Stuttgart (Higher Regional Court) specializing in medical liability, administrative liability, and corporate law (2000–2005), and earlier positions in the judiciary and prosecution.

Professor Drescher has authored multiple monographs, including Die Haftung des GmbH-Geschäftsführers (GmbH Managing Director Liability), and participated in Festschriften (academic collections) dedicated to colleagues like Eberhard Stilz and Alfred Bergmann.
