Ingeborg Berg

Ingeborg Berg is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She works primarily with NTNU's resource center for STEM-education (Skolelaboratoriet), designing outreach activities for schoolchildren. She is also a member of the communication and recruitment group at her faculty and serves as a Cristin-contact for her department.

Her research focuses on STEM Education, particularly hands-on learning experiences and science communication. She develops educational resources like guidance handbooks for physics, chemistry, and mathematics outreach programs, including the "Fysikkløypa" and "Bølgeløypa" projects.

Recent publications highlight her work in creating interdisciplinary science outreach materials, with a focus on making physics, chemistry, and mathematics accessible to K-12 students through experiments and demonstrations. The compendiums she coauthored cover topics ranging from wave mechanics to cosmology.

She actively participates in public science engagement through events like Forskningsdagene (Research Days) and Forskersprinten (Research Relay). Her outreach efforts include collaborations with schools, media interviews, and documentary projects aimed at inspiring young learners through topics such as stjernestøv (stardust), levende steiner (living stones), and insekter (insects).
