Inge Søkilde Pedersen

Inge Søkilde Pedersen is a Professor at Aalborg University and Chief Laboratory Geneticist at the Department of Molecular Diagnostics, Aalborg University Hospital. She holds a dual affiliation with The Faculty of Medicine and focuses on genetics, particularly in breast and ovarian cancer research. Her work includes developing diagnostic methods for early detection and precision medicine applications.

Research Interests:

• Genetic variants in BRCA1/BRCA2
• Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)
• Biomarker discovery for cancer progression
• Clinical applications of molecular diagnostics

Collaborations: Active member of international consortia CIMBA and ENIGMA, contributing to variant curation panels for BRCA genes.

Advising: Supervises 3 PhD students as main supervisor and co-supervises 10 others. Previously advised bachelor/master students from Aalborg and Aarhus Universities.
