Dr. India Bryce is a Senior Lecturer in Counselling at the School of Psychology and Wellbeing, University of Southern Queensland (Toowoomba Campus). She holds a PhD from USQ, complemented by multiple master's degrees in Counselling (JCU), Social Work (Monash), and Social Work (Qualifying) from Charles Sturt University. With 11 years of tertiary teaching experience, she currently coordinates higher-degree research (HDR) programs and teaches courses including CDS3001, COU6031, and COU5041.
Her research explores critical social issues through interdisciplinary lenses, including:
- Child protection systems and forensic social work
- Cumulative harm impacts across lifespans
- Trauma-informed pedagogical frameworks for education
- Developmental victimology in youth justice contexts
- Transgender youth support systems
- Educational experiences of separated parents
Dr. Bryce leads research initiatives through the USQ Centre for Health Research (Health and Social Justice) and collaborates with international organizations including the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
