India Alexander is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland's College of Engineering. She specializes in experiential learning programs, partnering with Whiting-Turner and TouchPoint Baltimore to develop initiatives targeting K-12 outreach in Baltimore. Her work focuses on creating pipelines for future engineers through collaborations with faculty, staff, undergraduate students, and corporate partners.
A Baltimore native and UMD alumna, Alexander brings over a decade of experience in events management and program development. Her research interests include educational psychology, experiential learning, relational reasoning, and critical thinking. She has published extensively on topics such as vocabulary assessment, multimodal text processing, and transformative learning in STEM education.
