Indekeu Joseph Octave

Prof. Joseph Octave Indekeu is a Full Professor of Physics at KU Leuven's Department of Physics and Astronomy, serving as its Head (2011–2015). He holds academic leadership roles including President of the Belgian Physical Society (2002–2003) and Spokesperson for Science Communication at KU Leuven (2005–2007). His research focuses on theoretical statistical physics, with contributions in wetting phenomena, superconductivity, and complex networks. He co-developed the quantum physics cabaret, an award-winning science outreach initiative.

• Education & Early Career: Postdoctoral Fellowships at MIT (1983–1984), TU Delft/RU Leiden (1985–1987), and extended stays in institutions like Padova and Oxford.
