Imogen Tijou

Imogen Tijou is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Human Sciences under the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She joined in March 2023 after a 17-year tenure at Solent University, where she served as Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for Psychology (Specialisms).

• Education: BSc in Psychology, MSc in Health Psychology, ESRC-funded PhD exploring self-efficacy, outcome expectations, pain, and mood in physiotherapy adherence.

Research Interests:

• Application of health and well-being-related behavior change
• Enhancing student reflective abilities
• Mindfulness practices for diverse populations
• Teaching across the British Psychological Society curriculum, including research methods, personality, health psychology, and counselling psychology

Scientific Recognition:

• Fellowship of Advance HE
• Senior Fellowship of Advance HE

Professional Contributions: Extensive experience as an external examiner and course leader, with a focus on pedagogical innovation and student support.
