Immaculate Conception Carrasco Gómez

Immaculate Conception Carrasco Gómez is an Associate Professor in the History of Art department at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, Spain. Her recent work (2022-2023) shows a clear dual focus: Roman imperial architecture across the Mediterranean (particularly villas of Roman emperors in Italy, Germany, and Greece) and contemporary archaeology related to the Spanish Civil War and Francoist repression. Her publications demonstrate expertise in both classical archaeology and contemporary historical memory studies.

She has collaborated extensively with researchers including Rafael Hidalgo Prieto and Adalberto Ottati on the 'Palatia' publication series examining Roman imperial villas and palaces from the 1st-5th centuries AD. Her methodological approach combines traditional archaeological techniques with geophysical prospection and interdisciplinary analysis.
