Ilko Nikolchev

Ilko Nikolchev is an Associate Professor at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture and specifically the Department of Drawing and Modeling. He serves as a leading teacher in the Drawing 1 discipline and maintains an active research profile in visual arts, with particular focus on sculpture, abstract art, and the relationship between form and space. Professor Nikolchev is an active member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the "7+1" art group, participating in numerous international conferences including the "VISUAL RESEARCH" series and "Spring Scientific Readings". His international experience includes participation in multiple sculpture symposiums across Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, and other countries.

He leads significant research initiatives, most notably heading a scientific project on "Specific approaches in the construction of form and space in the field of visual arts. Principles in the process of their organization in the context of the Bulgarian national identity and cultural heritage."
