Ilene Grabel is Distinguished University Professor and Co-Director of Global Economic Affairs at the Josef Korbel School, University of Denver. She researches global financial governance, development finance, and crisis response.
Her award-winning book 'When Things Don't Fall Apart' analyzes systemic incoherence in global finance and emergent developmental alternatives. Current projects examine feminist economic frameworks, SDR reforms, and debt sustainability in the Global South.
Grabel advises UN Women on engendering fiscal space and served on World Economic Forum's Values Council. Her research has influenced capital control policies at IMF and central bank innovation in developing economies.
