Igor Yurkevich is Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics & Data Science at Aston University's School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies. His research explores quantum field theory, strongly correlated low-dimensional fermions, quantum nonlinear optics, mesoscopic physics, and non-equilibrium dynamics in condensed matter systems.
He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics (1988) and has held research positions at University of Birmingham, ICTP Trieste, Bar Ilan University, and Kharkov institutes. Recent work investigates Coulomb blockade phenomena, superconducting systems, and quantum transport in nanostructures.
