He has served as Lecturer (1991–2003), Professor (2003–2007), Head of Organic Chemistry Chair (2007–2009), and Vice-Director/Head of Supramolecular Chemistry Chair since 2009. His research focuses on organic synthesis, peptidomimetics, and drug design, with methodological expertise in NMR, pharmacokinetics, and computational chemistry.
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (1985)
- Postdoctoral Research, University of Cambridge (1994–1995)
- Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship, Rostock (2000–2001)
His research includes:
- Photocontrolled peptidomimetics for light-activated therapies
- Fluorine-containing amino acids as NMR/fluorescence labels
- Conformationally restricted scaffolds for drug discovery
- Dynamic protection strategies in organic synthesis
- Silica-immobilized ligands for uranium extraction
He collaborates with institutions such as University of Cambridge (UK), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), and INSA Lyon (France), and has received funding from Horizon 2020, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and Ukraine’s Ministry of Science. His team at Enamine Ltd. and Taras Shevchenko University drives innovations in asymmetric catalysis and biomedical applications of supramolecular systems.
