Ignasi Corbella is a Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), affiliated with the Signal Theory and Communications Department within the School of Telecommunication Engineering. He holds a Doctor Enginyer degree in Telecommunication from UPC and has been a faculty member since 1982, progressing from Assistant to Full Professor by 1993. His research focuses on microwave radiometry, satellite and airborne systems, and microwave circuit design, with notable work at NOAA/Environmental Technology Laboratory (1998–99) on radiometer calibration.
