Idoya Puig

Dr. Idoya Puig is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish at Manchester Metropolitan University's School of English. Her expertise spans Spanish Golden Age literature, contemporary Spanish literature, and innovative pedagogical approaches. She actively explores Cervantes's influence, friendship dynamics in classical texts, and 21st-century teaching strategies.

Her research focuses on Cervantes's works, Golden Age culture, and the integration of literature into language pedagogy. Dr. Puig serves as Examinations Officer and Disability Officer within her department. She is a member of the Association of Hispanists, Cervantes Society of America, and Higher Education Academy. Her academic service includes consultancy roles as a school governor.
