Idit Chikurel is a Minerva Fellow at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy, Theory of Science and Religious Studies, and the Department of Philosophy of Science. She holds a PhD in Philosophy of Science (Tel Aviv University, 2019) and has conducted postdoctoral research across institutions including the University of Hamburg, Max Planck Institute of Science, and ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on the philosophy and history of mathematics, epistemological and metaphysical questions, and the integration of scientific knowledge in Jewish philosophy. Currently, she explores ampliative analysis in Salomon Maimon and Bernard Bolzano’s works. Her fellowship with the Minerva Stiftung underscores her scholarly contributions. She has also served as a guest lecturer at Berlin Institute of Technology and the University of Potsdam.
Education includes a B.A. in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies (2005) and an M.A. in History and Philosophy of Science (2011), both from Tel Aviv University. She participated in an exchange program at Paris-Sorbonne University. Her publications include a monograph on Maimon’s philosophy (Walter de Gruyter, 2020) and forthcoming articles in Kant-Studien and Brill’s Tolerance and Scepticism.
