Ida Syvertsen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literature and Culture at Østfold University College. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (2024) and has taught courses in English linguistics and language didactics for pre-service and in-service teachers. Her academic interests focus on sociolinguistics, multilingualism, phonetics, and the role of English as a global language, particularly among displaced populations.
