Ida Sim

Ida Sim, PhD, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Co-Director of the UCSF-UC Berkeley Joint Program in Computational Precision Health. She is a globally recognized leader in health informatics, data sharing standards, and mobile health innovation. Her work focuses on advancing clinical research through technology, including co-developing the Open mHealth/IEEE 1752 standards and CommonHealth platform. Dr. Sim pioneered the World Health Organization's International Clinical Trials Registry Platform and co-founded Vivli, the world's largest clinical trial data-sharing platform. She holds leadership roles such as UCSF's inaugural Chief Research Informatics Officer and chairs initiatives like the JupyterHealth project.
