Ida Gundersby Rognlien

Ida Gundersby Rognlien serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Public and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. Her scholarly work focuses on human rights protections within Nordic legal frameworks, particularly examining how legal systems address poverty, discrimination, and social vulnerability.

Dr. Rognlien completed her PhD at the University of Copenhagen in 2020 with her dissertation Fattigdom – Diskriminering – Relasjoner: Grunnleggende forsørgelsesrettslige problemer (Poverty - Discrimination - Relations: Basic maintenance law problems), supervised by Professor Kirsten Ketscher. Her doctoral committee included scholars from multiple Nordic institutions, reflecting the transnational nature of her research interests.
