Ida Falck Øien is an Associate Professor at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO), specializing in Fashion and Costume Design. With dual education from the Bergen and Oslo Academies of Art, she has extensive experience bridging artistic practice and academic research.

- Co-founder of HAiKw collaborative platform (2011) with Siv Støldal and Harald Lunde Helgesen
Research Focus: Øien explores transactional aesthetics, collaborative art practices, and consumer-driven fashion production. Her work interrogates the intersection of art, labor, and visual culture through experimental clothing design.
Scientific Contributions: Øien's recent publications examine participatory fashion models and critical reading practices in artistic research. The 2022 doctoral thesis Transactional Aesthetics – and So Can You! represents her most significant academic work.
