Ida Bieler, a celebrated violinist and educator, holds faculty positions at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) as Artist-Teacher of Violin since 2013, and as a new faculty member at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Music and Performing Arts. Renowned for her versatility across genres from Baroque to contemporary, she has performed with over 40 orchestras globally, including premieres of Penderecki’s works, and was the first American woman concertmaster of Cologne’s Gürzenich Orchestra.
