Ibrahim Ghafir

Dr. Ibrahim Ghafir is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Bradford's Faculty of Engineering and Digital Technologies, where he serves as Programme Leader for BSc Computer Science for Cyber Security. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he holds dual PhDs in Computer Science (Cyber Security) from Manchester Metropolitan University and Informatics from Durham University and Masaryk University (European Doctorate).

His research focuses on cybersecurity, intrusion detection systems, wireless communication security, IoT security, and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in cyber defense. With over 50 technical publications in these areas, he maintains active research collaborations and previously held positions at Loughborough University and Masaryk University.
