Ian Tennant

Dr. Ian Tennant is an Assistant Professor at the Elliott School of Communication, part of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wichita State University. He teaches courses in reporting, media writing, film studies, and advanced communication topics.

• Education: Ph.D. (2014), M.A. (1999) from the University of Texas at Austin; B.A. (1992) from the University of Alberta.

Dr. Tennant’s research explores newspaper mergers, free newspapers, media history, and transnational journalism practices. He has published a chapter in The Future of News: An Agenda of Perspectives and presented at academic conferences.
