Ian Sandall

Dr. Ian Sandall is a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Liverpool. His research focuses on optical biosensors, integrated semiconductor lab-on-a-chip systems, and novel semiconductor materials for applications in medical diagnostics, defense, and astronomy. He holds a PhD in Physics from Cardiff University and has contributed to projects at Philips Research (Netherlands) and the University of Sheffield. His work emphasizes miniaturization of optoelectronic systems for point-of-care diagnostics and hazardous environments.
