Ian Edwards is an Associate Professor in the School of Law at the University of East Anglia (UEA). He specializes in criminal law, criminal justice, and sentencing, with particular interests in victimology, restorative justice, and the intersection of law with art and sports. He holds a law degree from the University of Birmingham and a first-class degree in art history from the Open University, completing his PhD in 2002 on victim participation in sentencing processes. Edwards has taught at UEA since 2001, previously at Cardiff and Nottingham Law Schools, and currently organizes modules like 'Principles of Criminal Law' and 'Crime and Sentencing.'
His research focuses on victims' rights, sentencing practices, and the role of victims in criminal justice systems.
