Ian E. McCutcheon

Dr. Ian E. McCutcheon is a tenured Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, affiliated with the Division of Surgery. He also holds an adjunct professorship at Baylor College of Medicine. With over 25 years of experience, he specializes in pituitary tumors, neurofibromatosis, meningioma biology, and surgical strategies for von Hippel-Lindau disease. He leads MD Anderson's pituitary tumor program, managing over 100 annual cases and collaborating with 5 endocrinologists. His laboratory research focuses on meningioma biology, complemented by over 125 peer-reviewed publications and 25 book chapters.

Dr. McCutcheon is actively involved in national and international neurosurgery lectureships, emphasizing clinical and translational research. His work bridges surgical innovation with oncological outcomes, particularly in rare tumor types.
