Ian D. Moore

Dr. Ian D. Moore is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Queen's University, Canada. He serves as the Department Head of Civil Engineering and Research Director of the GeoEngineering Centre. His expertise spans geotechnical engineering, non-linear soil-structure interaction, and buried infrastructure. He holds a PhD (1986) and B.E. (1980) in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney.

Research Focus: Dr. Moore specializes in geotechnical engineering, including the behavior of buried pipes (concrete, steel, and thermoplastic), culvert design, soil-pipe interaction, and rehabilitation techniques for corroded pipelines. His work integrates computational modeling and experimental methods.
