Iain Reid

Professor Iain Reid holds the chair in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, where he serves as Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Lead and previously as Deputy Director of Business Transformations Research. With over £2.4M in secured KTP funding, his industry collaborations span manufacturing, legal services, and public sectors including Manchester City Council and Vivobarefoot footwear.

Award highlights include Educate North 2024 for business engagement and multiple Manchester Met recognitions for research impact. His publications demonstrate consistent focus on supply chain digitalization, university-industry partnerships, and service operations innovation across sectors.

Current doctoral supervision includes projects in sports analytics and pharmaceutical supply chains. As Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply member, he teaches strategic operations and digital transformation across postgraduate programs.
