Hyemi Hwang

Dr. Hyemi Hwang is a Lecturer in the School of Property, Construction and Project Management at RMIT University, located at the City Campus in Australia. She is actively involved in teaching and research, with a focus on property market dynamics, property development strategies, and decision-making processes in property contexts. Her research addresses critical issues such as land expropriation, mining-related compensation practices, and legal frameworks in Ghana's mining sector, alongside commercial building disclosure practices.

Teaching & Supervision: Dr. Hwang supervises research projects, including "Assessing Expropriation, Valuation and Compensation Practices for Mining in Ghana". She is open to supervising Masters and PhD students in related fields.

Research Contributions: Her work bridges legal, economic, and social dimensions of property management. Recent studies emphasize Ghana's mining sector challenges, such as fair compensation mechanisms for landowners and the impact of land use deprivation. Earlier research explored transparency in commercial building disclosures and their relevance to market stakeholders.
