Dr. Huong Le is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the UWA Centre for Child Health Research, concurrently serving as a Biostatistician at the Telethon Kids Institute. Her interdisciplinary work bridges health economics, epidemiology, and data science.
She holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Australian National University), M.Sc. in Applied Statistics (Queensland University of Technology), and M.A. in Development Economics (Erasmus University Rotterdam). Her Pacific Trade Fellowship (2011) recognized early contributions to trade-development scholarship.
Research focuses on child health inequities, RSV immunisation impacts, and causal inference methods. Current projects use linked health data to evaluate vaccine policies, intergenerational health transmission, and COVID-19 effects on mental health.
Recent studies model RSV immunization outcomes and analyze respiratory virus severity in children, supported by MRFF grants. She advocates for research with direct policy applications.
