Hui Zhang

Dr. Hui Zhang is an Associate Professor in the School of Business Administration at Lakehead University, where she has been a faculty member since 2007. Her work focuses on pharmaceutical market dynamics, supply chain management, and health economics, with a strong emphasis on cost containment and patient-physician relationships.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Management Science from the Ivey School of Business, Western University (formerly University of Western Ontario).
• Master's degree in Business Administration from Peking University.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Shandong University.

Research Interests: Dr. Zhang’s research explores cost containment and marketing strategies in pharmaceutical markets, the economic implications of patient-physician decision-making, and the optimization of pharmaceutical supply chains through cost-effectiveness analysis. Her work bridges healthcare economics with operational efficiency.

Teaching: She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in business computing, operations management, and quantitative analysis, including Business 1513 (Introduction to Business Computing), Business 2016 (Operations Management I), and Business 5076 (Quantitative Analysis in Management).
