Hui Cao

Hui Cao is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Department of Materials Design and Innovation at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University at Buffalo.

Dr. Cao's research focuses on the synthesis of complex oxide thin films using molecular beam epitaxy, pulsed laser deposition, and sputtering. She investigates the crystal structure, electronic structure, transport, and magnetic properties of these thin films. Additionally, she explores reconfigurable phase control through electrolyte gating methods including electrostatic, electrochemical, and advanced approaches.
