Hugo Slim serves as the Director of the Las Casas Institute at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, and as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict, Blavatnik School of Government. He leads research on humanitarian diplomacy (funded by the British Red Cross), climate and nature in humanitarian action (funded by Caritas and Red Cross agencies), and war and humanitarian aid. He directs the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights, which engages 25 universities and community colleges in the USA and Korea in human rights education.
