About
Prof. Huanting Wang is a Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor and Australian Laureate Fellow in Chemical Engineering at Monash University. He directs research on advanced membranes for energy-efficient separations, water purification, and sustainable energy applications.
His research develops nanomaterials including MOFs, graphene, and nanocomposites for membrane-based separation technologies. Current projects focus on lithium extraction membranes, hybrid materials for gas separation, and carbon capture systems. Wang leads the ARC Research Hub for Energy-efficient Separation and founded the Monash Centre for Membrane Innovation.
Honors include the IChemE Underwood Medal (2021), RACI R.K. Murphy Medal (2019), and Australian Laureate Fellowship (2020). He serves as Associate Editor for Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research and has commercialized membrane technologies through university spin-offs.
