Xile Hu is a Full Professor of Chemistry at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. He has held academic positions there since 2007, advancing from Assistant to Full Professor. His research focuses on organometallic chemistry, inorganic materials, bioinorganic chemistry, electrocatalysis, and homogeneous catalysis.
Education: B.S. in Chemistry (Peking University, 2000), Ph.D. in Chemistry (University of California, San Diego, 2004), Postdoc at California Institute of Technology (2005–2007).
Research interests include catalytic mechanisms, sustainable chemistry, and energy storage materials. His work bridges fundamental chemistry and applied catalysis, with contributions to bioinorganic systems and electrochemical processes.
