Hrabba Atladottir

Hrabba Atladottir is a violin lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley since 2009. She holds a degree from the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany, where she studied under Prof. Tomaszewski and Prof. Gerhardt. Her professional career includes affiliations with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Deutsche Oper, and conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle and Christian Thielemann.

Post-2004, she performed in New York with ensembles like the Metropolitan Opera, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and the Either/Or ensemble, collaborating with composers like Helmut Lachenmann. Since 2008 in the Bay Area, she has been a soloist and ensemble performer with groups such as the New Century Chamber Orchestra and San Francisco Contemporary Music Players.

Notable collaborations include a world tour with Björk and a German tour with Nigel Kennedy. Her expertise spans classical and contemporary music performance, with a focus on new music specialization and pedagogy.
