Hongyi Cai

Hongyi Cai is an Associate Professor in the Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department at the University of Kansas. His work focuses on lighting, daylighting, and computational photography to create sustainable visual environments.

Research interests include lighting and daylighting, high dynamic range (HDR) imaging, and computational photography for optimizing luminous environments. He has been a faculty member at the University of Kansas since 2010 and contributes to the Lighting Research Laboratory.
